- 9 November, Silver Lakes: Backbreaker 9, Mindbreaker 9, and Heartbreaker 9
- 10 November, Hampton Cove: Highlands 18 and River 18
- 11 November, Hampton Cove: Highlands 18 (back up day in case of previous rainout)
Wrap Up: Curt flew into Indianapolis to do some new home paperwork, Steve drove his quad-cab pickup to Pat’s home in Naperville on Friday for overnight, Pat and Steve picked up Curt on the way to Huntsville, AL and arrived at VRBO rental Saturday evening to meet Randy who drove from Mt Pleasant, SC.
Notables in no particular order – –
- Steve played hurt all rounds with torn rotator cuff and bad golf elbow. Everyone wanted him as partner.
- Pat scored six pars in a row at Highlands enroute to a brilliant 80 (one of two 80’s of his at RTJ).
- Our plan was to play one par 5 from the tips at 716 yards with water carry to green, but we couldn’t carry the trash on our drives, so wound up just playing from the member tees.
- Pat took one morning off (you will have to ask him why).
- We consecutively played 18 on Sunday and 27 on Monday cart path only due to previous rain and current drizzle. Since RTJ cart paths are way off the fairways, we got in monster walks.
- We are thinking November 2016 for the next batch of RTJ and there is no limit on participants.
- Pat and Curt ended their 237 game losing streak at Spades, won a single game, and then lost the next by more points than they won their only winning game.
- Curt’s new menu item of Chicken Enchiladas was a Spectacular Success and will be part of SCAGI 2016.
- Pat brought the cow for steak night, tenderloins the size of roasts (upgrade Béarnaise sauce – Yummy).
- Lodging in central location throughout required some serious driving for two days.
- Randy took a 15 on one hole, rounded down to 7.
Result: SUCCESS
