RTJ November 2018

Wet and cool described our 2018 outing. We got rained out of our final 4 holes on our first day on Wednesday and finished those holes on Sunday. Monday was a complete bust and we busied ourselves with a movie and three games of spades. The spades results were as close to a draw as you could get: Each team won one game and the final game as an exact tie (a Florida recount was never requested and since my partner was scoring, I didn’t ask for one).

The rental house was appointed with just about everything we needed with exception of cable TV and needed kitchenware. Pat got creative and used the provided WiFi to patch into a laptop, intercepted the Comcast signal from a home feed, then wired that into the TV HDMI connection to provide what we needed. Pat also came up with a marvelous movie we bought from the Amazon feed called “Blood and Bone”. If you want a taste, see one of the fight scenes below (turn off speakers to avoid raunchy language).

Curt plied us with his chef trademark goodies and tossed a new item at us: Sweet Italian Sausage Burgers. The Colt dazzled us with his signature French Toast.

For those just starting the game or for veterans wanting to pattern their swings after the professionals, see the below video. You can also follow along with how to extricate yourself from under a dry bridge and around a tree.
