Highlights

Weather: Grade A+; Despite some great weeks over the last three and a half decades, this week graded the best.

Courses: Grade B+; Good layouts, good greens, no fairway overseed, some beat up tee boxes and bunkers. I would settle for these courses every week.

Players: They call him Steev, or Stev, or Stallion, or Colt, or Wonderboy, or Hero, or any of a hundred less complimentary pseudonyms. But like Shakespeare wrote, “A rose by any other name would smell like Steve.” Whatever you call him, the Stevenator produced a magnificent week of golf. The only guy to beat his “Alabama” goal every round. Got at least one Birdie every day but the last. See the scores so that you can admire him even more than you already do. He was in second place going into the last day, then Pat went low on him. Randy had to just about break his back to catch up to Curt’s easy drives. Then Curt would dial up the swing a bit to show who could hit a ball a mile. Yes, the Gosling flipped in an EAGLE on a parr four.

Food: Our Chef – quite the culinary wonders producer. Six days of evening feasts. What a guy. He owns the kitchen and grill.

Entertainment: Mixed reviews. One movie in particular forced the following:

• one viewer leaving to go to bed
• one viewer providing a few unkind reviews during the viewing
• one viewer wondering where the show going for the last two hours
• one viewer wondering if there would be just one more good scene in the last hour and a half of the dumpster-fire movie
